I Won't Sleep Tonight

I  Won’t Sleep Tonight
Sharon Paquette / Don McLeod

I really like your smile
I think I’m gonna stay for awhile
How did I get to your room?
I think it’s too soon

There’s something here we both know
It’s too obvious to ignore
But a one-night stand won’t do
Cause’ I really like you

I wasn’t expecting this
The fire in your kiss I’m going home right now
I won’t sleep tonight,
Though I want to, I can’t stay
I won’t sleep tonight

You cast spell o’er me
I find it easy to believe
In fairytales and rainbows
You’re my pot of gold

I’m not scared anymore
I feel so safe in your arms
There’s nothing that I’d rather do
Than just be with you

I wasn’t expecting this
The fire in your kiss I’m going home right now
I won’t sleep tonight,
Though I want to, I can’t stay
I won’t sleep tonight

Lying in my bed,
Staring at the ceiling,
Trying to escape,
But I love this feeling
I wish I knew what you were thinking

I wasn’t expecting this
The fire in your kiss I’m going home right now
I won’t sleep tonight,
Though I want to, I can’t stay
I won’t sleep tonight

Good Things Are Gonna Happen

Good Things Are Gonna Happen
Sharon Paquette / Don McLeod / Andrew Mallat

I used to tiptoe, through a street of puddles
‘Til lo and behold, down came the rain
I was wet, cold, down‘n’out and soakin'
That’s when I felt it all wash away

Oh, elevate me
Please come and take me, the sun’s gonna come out soon

I don’t mind, waitin’, delayin’, knowin’
Good things are gonna happen
Take time to enjoy the moment, watch as it’s unfolding
Waitin’, delayin’, knowin’ good things are gonna happen
Time’s passin’, and I can’t help laughin’,
Good things are gonna happen to me

I’ve been sailing on a sea of regret
I couldn’t take a risk
Been deceived by those same lines
Watching screens, movie scenes, of other people’s so called lives
It’s time to live it up, crank up your song and sing

Oh, elevate me
Please come and take me, the sun’s gonna come out soon

I don’t mind, waitin’, delayin’, knowin’
Good things are gonna happen
Take time to enjoy the moment, watch as it’s unfolding
Waitin’, delayin’, knowin’ good things are gonna happen
Time’s passin’, and I can’t help laughin’,
Good things are gonna happen to me

There comes a time when, what goes round, comes around
And I wanna be there when it does
With arms embracing, old chains are breakin’
I love this feeling

I don’t mind, waitin’, delayin’, knowin’
Good things are gonna happen
Take time to enjoy the moment, watch as it’s unfolding
Waitin’, delayin’, knowin’ good things are gonna happen
Time’s passin’, and I can’t help laughin’,
Good things are gonna happen to me

Still Your Girl

Still Your Girl
Sharon Paquette / Don McLeod

It was a beautiful day
As the sun came down
Bringing color to the world
In a moment so profound

Locked myself in my room
Turned up the radio
Looking through the mirror, I found myself
Though I was searching for someone else

I love you,
I’ve always loved you
How many times have we stood face to face?
I never, told you
I was too caught up in yesterday
Daddy, I’m still your little girl

Stand barefoot in the rain
With open arms I close my eyes
Drops slide down my face
I’ve never felt so alive

No more hiding for me
I will throw this cloak away
Rid myself of shame and past mistakes
Breaking off the locks to open gates

I love you,
I’ve always loved you
How many times have we stood face to face?
I never, told you
I was too caught up in yesterday
Daddy, I’m still your little girl

I’m not naive
Look at my face
I’m standing my ground, no I won’t turn away
Troubles may come
But I won’t be swayed
The bruises have healed, I’m here to stay

I love you,
I’ve always loved you
How many times have we stood face to face?

I love you,
I’ve always loved you
How many times have we stood face to face?
I never, told you
I was too caught up in yesterday
Daddy, I’m still your little girl

I'm Afraid

I ‘m Afraid
Sharon Paquette / Don McLeod

Hand dragging across the page
Black ink illuminates
Give into the abyss
Strangest place, I find my bliss
I entertain a multitude
Of lies I don’t believe
Waging war against myself
Making allies, enemies

Here I am, I’m afraid
I’ve got no one to blame
I’m losing focus
Take my hand, light the way
Tell me you can relate
I fear the darkness
Shed tears that no one sees
White lies and silent screams
I am afraid

Time tends to commandeer
As I gravitate to a dying sphere
Searching tides that come and go
I lose myself, pray it doesn’t show

I entertain a multitude
Of lies I don’t believe
Waging war against myself
Making allies enemies

Here I am, I’m afraid
I’ve got no one to blame
I’m losing focus
Take my hand, light the way
Tell me you can relate
I fear the darkness
Shed tears that no one sees
White lies and silent screams
I am afraid
